just to be controversial, i will point out that its better that 11 year olds have kids, than 50 year old women using fertility treatment

It seems I'm seeing the playboy bunny logo on everything. I was even pestered the other day for one on a pair of specs (and this from a 14yr old who doesn't need prescription specs Rolling Eyes). Mind you, there is a chance that that's all they probably know it as, a bunny logo. There was also the Porn * brand that appeared to me to be marketed at teenage and pre-teenage girls.

I guess it's not a childhood anymore but a marketing opportunity, or am I too cynical? Thinking

Nope, your spot on. Children are far easier to market to than adults (well, some adults, most are just sheep). You only have to watch a bit of Saturday morning TV to see it.

Its sad, very sad. But we only have ourselfs to blame. We have allowed consumerism to take over every part of our lives, that includes our children (well, yours, as I don't have any).

to be honest theres no way they can crack down on it, people will still have underage sex. I also agree that it sounds like she was being egged on, which in my mind could be said its more her mums fault than any one elses.

Just think though, if that 11 year old's daughter (presuming it's a girl) got pregnant at the age of 11, and then her daughter (presuming it's a girl) got preggers too..

She'd be a great grandmother at the age off 44.. now that's a fucked up thought.

i personnaly think the thought of this pregnant girl being a grandmother at 22 is more fucked up :/

but then smoking 20 a day, and being to young to have kids really, the poor kid wont stand much of a chance.

Not heard of that in Japan, but something. Not sure of the solution should be.

I think that's China, and it's 1 child. Any more children and you get taxed extortionate amounts I think.

The child should be taken from her and put up for adoption.

The family is obviously scum.

"I'm proud of my daughter", i'd want to kill her.

"I can give up smoking & it doesnt affect the baby", What in your 11 years living on some dodgy estate never attending school, did you come up with a view point to challenge consistent medical advise.

I saw some pregnant women smoking in a pub, I just stared at the bitch, I was tempted to pull it out of her gob.

Er no , they are not actually thick there was something on the BBC about this , which I remember shortly after reading an article about 38% of women wnt to be WAGs of rich footballers or something.

It was that such people in society saw no opportunities (there are plenty if you look) and are not ignorant of contraception but see it as a good career path , better than say working in Netto for £5.05/h.

think about it £5.05/h (about £4 after tax)

VS

Free house (more or less)
paid council tax
paid utilities
spending money on top o that

Unfortunately for you its a stark choice ,

HAVE MORE BABIES OR HAVE MORE IMMIGRANTS,

why? , if you look you will notice that the government social security schemes like pensions and NI are a pyramid scheme and hence unsustainable without 3 children per family (its currently around 1.4). The only people who benefit from such schemes are the first entrants into the pyramid ,

There are other places that run non pyramid schemes and actually keep money in a government run bank account, rather than spend it immediately and hope younger people will pay for it

Any pyramid scheme is not sustainable. All breeding more / importing more immigrants does is delay the day when the whole thing collapses (and ensure that when it does it is an even bigger mess).

All the best
